Wow... yesterday was my 24th birthday and let me just say that it was very nostalgic. I constantly found myself thinking about how many things had changed in my life throughout the past year.
The 23rd year of my life was destined to be horrible and lonely... or at least that's what I had built it up to be while preparing for my 23rd birthday. Low and behold fate had plans to smack me in the face with some amazing things through out the year to come. Mourning turning 23 was short lived that's for sure! In less than a month I was playing halo, when I met a really memorable opponent. We played for several hours and before I logged off for the night, he said something I'll never forget, "If I knew your name, I'd tell you goodnight." With that this guy had caught my attention. We continued to play for several days which lead to some myspace stalking... instant messaging... text messaging... and finally a phone call that lasted way longer than either one of us thought it would. It's amazing how life throws things in your face in a way that just makes you shake you head and think, "ok ok I get it, thanks!" Anyway.... long story short I met the man I now love with all my heart... yes... on Halo! :o)
He was just the first of many blessing to come in the year of 23 for me. I had surgery to fix my arm which was painful, frustrating, and very humbling. I had a great holiday season with James by my side helping me tie my shoes, wrap Christmas presents, mainly being an extra pair of hands while I only had one. Not to mention giving me tons and tons of reasons to love him more!
After the holidays were over I began reading... and reading... and reading, which is now one of my favorite pass-times.
I was lucky enough to spend Valentines day in Seattle with James, eating at the Space Needle and feeling very very loved!! I got to meet James' family and we actually went and picked out our little girl puppy when she was 3 weeks old!!!
After that trip and many many MANY more LOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG phone conversations James and I decided that the greatest thing we could do was to be in the same state!!! So in April James moved down to Pocatello and bringing our little girl puppy with him, joined me and Wigger to make my house, OUR HOME!!!
Summer brought fun trips with friends that have formed a place in our hearts and memories that we will have forever! Home improvement projects that turned out great (thanks to James and DJ). Lots and Lots of turn apart puppy toys. A new car. And in August I was offered the job that is now my career and passion. I am the Store Manager of Zales Jewelers which I love... who wouldn't like playing with Diamonds all day!? I DO!!!!!
As you can see this past year has brought me so so sooooooo many blessings. To see it end yesterday had it's sad moments, but knowing that my blessings will be there with me to enjoy the 24th year (among many MANYmore) makes me look forward to what is to come!!! What will this year bring!? I can't wait to see!!!
